Francine has been working as a college admissions consultant for over five years in a variety of different roles, including one-on-one private counseling, non-profit work with low-income students, and as a volunteer in college access organizations. Prior to her experience as a college consultant, Francine had a long, successful career in marketing and consulting at many Fortune 500 companies. Her marketing experience has given her a distinct perspective on how to best match students with potential universities and highlight a student’s unique value proposition through essays and other aspects of the application. She has also served as an alumni interviewer, held several educational board positions, and been actively involved in the PTO.

Francine grew up in Atlanta, GA and attended Washington University in St. Louis, where she majored in Business Administration with a concentration in Finance. She obtained an MBA from the Fuqua School of Business at Duke University with a Marketing focus. Recently Francine was awarded a Certificate in College Counseling from UCLA and is a member of the Independent Educational Consultants Association (IECA), the largest professional organization for independent educational consultants.

While she attended medium-sized universities, she is also very knowledgeable about the benefits of larger schools, as both of her sons visited and ultimately attended larger institutions. Francine has experience counseling students with a wide range of academic achievement levels and varying social/emotional needs. She is also familiar with the financial aid and athletic college recruiting processes through her non-profit work. Francine is described by colleagues as smart, funny, has a great rapport with students, and is always willing to ask questions or do research to ensure that she provides the most accurate information.

“The whole college admissions process is a lot to comprehend for a high school student. Francine gave me the clarity I needed of the entire process to reduce my stress. She was there to help me out with every aspect of my college applications.”

Serafina, student at San Diego State University
